Arkansas Tech University has received approval from the Arkansas Higher Education Coordinating Board to offer an online MBA.
The ATU's College of Business has conducted surveys of business alumni and employers to identify needs that the new program could address.
"Our research found that prospective MBA students are interested in a degree that will help them analyze business market situations using real-time or gathered business information, and that employers appreciate the efficiencies created by online learning," said Robin E. Bowen, president of ATU.
The 30-credit program will consist of ten courses that can be completed entirely online.
The new online degree is set to start in Fall 2017.
