West Virginia University launches a dual degree program combining a master's in business administration with a master's in nursing starting in Fall 2017.
The program is designed for nurses who are seeking leadership roles in a healthcare organization.
Most of classes will be delivered online in both synchronous and asynchronous formats. The 67-credit program can be completed in eight semesters on a full-time basis and includes four 3-4 day residencies on campus.
After successful completion of the program, graduates will be eligible to sit for the Nurse Executive, Advanced certification (ANCC) or the Certification in Executive Nursing Practice (AONE) exams after two years of experience in nursing administration.
Interested candidates must apply and be admitted to both programs concurrently.
