The Sprott School of Business at Carleton University in Canada will offer a joint degree allowing students to obtain a MA in Economics, with a concentration in Financial Economics and an MBA, with a concentration in Finance and Economics, starting this Fall 2016.

The MA in Economics prepares students for positions in both the private and public sectors and for further academic training. Courses will be taught by the Carleton's department of Economics.

As part of the MBA program, students, who have less than two years of professional employment experience, will have the opportunity to complete a four-month internship.

The dual degree program, which can be completed in 20 months, combines the quantitative and theoretical approach of the economics with the managerial decisions and management skills of the Sprott MBA.

Interested candidates must meet admission requirements for both degrees.
