ESMT and Hertie School of Governance in Berlin, Germany team up to offer a joint Executive MBA/Master of Public Administration degree starting in Fall 2016.
The two-year program will be taught in English by the faculty of both schools. Most courses will take place on the Hertie School and ESMT campuses in Berlin. The program features workshops in Brussels and London, and international field trips to countries such as Argentina, Brazil, China, Hong Kong, or Malaysia.
"In an increasingly interdependent world, we need responsible managers who can lead effectively at the interface between politics, business, and society," said ESMT President Jörg Rochol. "For ESMT and the Hertie School it is a natural, forward-looking step to combine our respective expertise in the new degree programme and be the first to offer this dual degree in Europe."
As it is common for universities in U.S. to offer combined degree programs (JD/MBA, Master of Public Policy/MBA, Master of Science in Nursing/MBA, Master of Engineering/MBA...), such dual degree as the MPA/MBA is rare in Europe.
Eligible applicants must have at least five years of full-time, professional experience and can submit their application from 4 December 2015 for the 2016 October intake. Tuition for the MBA/MPA program is €60,000.
