HKUST Names Jitendra V. Singh as New Dean

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) has announced that Jitendra V Singh will be the Dean of HKUST Business School effective September 1 after a global search.

Professor Singh teaches Management at the Wharton School. He joined the faculty in 1987. He was Vice-Dean for International Academic Affairs from 1998 to 2001 and participated to the establishment of Singapore Management University (SMU), the collaboration between Wharton and INSEAD and the creation of Indian School of Business. From 2007 to 2009, he was Dean and Shaw Foundation Chair Professor of Strategy, Management and Organization at Nanyang Business School in Singapore. He holds an a PhD from Stanford University and an MBA from IIM, Ahmedabad.
